Clamped up while waiting for the glue to dry, after replacing the floor of the top till, which was too small to fit correctly.

  • Shot of the crud on top
  • Looking down into the top till, the back of the floor is bowed down, and pulled out of its groove
  • Hinge from the front flap, damage to top left corner of till face
  • Tool Chest 33" wide 13" deep, 14" tall, 0 small drawers, 2 large drawers 2.75" & 3.75". Side handles have 4 screws each. 2 Locking Latches, 6 screws each. Front flap ~8" tall by 1/2" thickmissing. Dovetailed drawers.
  • Saw holding slots in the top. The bottom of the top till is out of its groove in the back. The thing that looks like a lid support is a ruler holding the lid open for pix.
  • Profile of the missing front flap. Two ring pulls on each drawer. This corner of the front top board is slightly torn away. Some variety of nails holding it together. The screws on the hasps are not neatly aligned.
  • Space under the bottom drawer, presumably for the front, but it was hinged as seen at the bottom. Slot is 1/2"+.
  • Dovetailed drawers. The drawer bottoms are the drawer slides

  • Front drawer pre cleaning, back drawer, post cleaning but damp, Chest cleaned
  • Front drawer from Previous picture, cleaned and dry
  • Splintered corner chisel smooth, ready for a scarf joint
  • Trying to unbow the bottom of the till

  • Hoping the grain matches when I am done. patching a radiused edge.
  • Patching blown out holes one the right front of the till. One was a dowel, one was a nail.
  • A poor patch, and a line of nail holes.
